Writer Studio is free, offline, and yours — the manuscript lives on your machine and the app never needs the cloud just to let you write. Authr AI is an optional add-on for the moments you want a second pair of hands: turn it on and a capable assistant works right inside the app, with no API key of your own and no separate provider signup.

What Authr AI does

Authr AI is an assistant, not a ghostwriter. It can read your whole book, check a passage for problems, track a character or a plot thread, and answer questions about your story. Because it works through the app, it can also do what you can do — update metadata, add a character to the Book Wiki, jump you to the right scene — all through chat. It is off by default, and every change it proposes waits for your confirmation, so it never quietly rewrites your canon.

Why managed

Running your own AI means an API key, a provider account, and a bill you assemble yourself. Authr AI removes all of that: one monthly plan, billed in rubles, and the AI is simply there inside Writer Studio. No keys to paste, no provider to sign up with, nothing to configure.
