What authr.app does

With authr.app you can:

  • create an account;
  • publish books and chapters and share them with readers by link;
  • run beta reading: readers read your book and leave reactions and private feedback for you;
  • use Authr AI, the managed AI service, through your account;
  • get help from support.

Your account

  • Give accurate information and an email address you can access.
  • Keep your password and sign-in links private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • An account belongs to one person. Do not share it, sell it, or create accounts for other people.
  • If you think someone else has used your account, write to [email protected].

Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to use authr.app.

Your content

Your books, chapters, images, comments, and feedback stay yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, copy, format, and show your content, only as far as needed to run authr.app for you: for example, to show your book to the readers you share it with, or to show your feedback to the author. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the law requires us to keep it.

You confirm that you have the right to publish the content you upload.

Content rules

Do not use authr.app to publish, share, or send:

  • illegal content;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, or other rights of others;
  • malware, phishing links, or code that harms devices or accounts;
  • spam or unwanted bulk messages;
  • threats, harassment, or other abuse of people.

Do not try to break or overload authr.app, or to get unauthorized access to the service or to other people's accounts.

Removal and suspension

We do not check content before it is published. We act on reports and on problems we find ourselves. A person reviews each case and makes the decision.

If content or an account breaks these terms or the law, we may remove the content, disable access to it, or suspend or close the account. We tell the affected user by email what we did, which rule or law the decision is based on, and how to dispute it, unless the law forbids telling them. You can reply to that email, and we will review the decision again.

Reporting content

If you think content on authr.app is illegal or breaks these terms, write to [email protected]. Pages of shared books have a "Report" link that opens a prepared email with the page address.

Please include:

  • the link to the content;
  • why you think it is illegal or breaks these terms;
  • your name and email address;
  • a statement that the information in your report is accurate and given in good faith.

We confirm that we received your report and tell you our decision.

Authr AI

Authr AI gives you access to AI models through your authr.app account. Whether you have access and how much you can use depend on your account, and we may change these limits.

  • Use Authr AI only for lawful purposes and within the content rules above.
  • Do not share or resell your access, and do not try to get around usage limits.
  • Your requests are sent to an AI model provider to produce answers. The Privacy Policy explains this.
  • AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or similar to existing texts. Check it before you rely on it or publish it. You are responsible for how you use it.

Availability and liability

We provide authr.app "as is" and "as available". A paid Authr Plus plan adds Authr AI usage and some platform features; its price and conditions are confirmed with you before you pay. We do not promise that authr.app will always work, be free of errors, or keep every feature. We may change or stop features. authr.app is not a backup: keep your own copies of your books.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or lost data caused by using authr.app or by not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Ending use

You can stop using authr.app at any time. To delete your account, write to [email protected] from the email address of that account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, as described in "Removal and suspension". If we shut down the whole service, we tell account holders by email in advance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia. Disputes are settled by the courts of the Republic of Armenia. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection that the mandatory law of your country gives you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. We tell account holders about significant changes by email before they take effect. If you do not agree with the new terms, stop using authr.app and ask us to delete your account.

"We" and "us" mean this operator. These terms apply to the authr.app website and online service and to everyone who uses them, including readers without an account. By creating an account or using authr.app, you accept these terms. The Writer Studio desktop app has its own documents.
